Touché Kicks Off Harvest of Hope Food Drive

CHICAGO – Friday is our Kick Off Party for the annual Harvest of Hope Food Drive for Groceryland. With the big holiday season about to take off, we need to make sure that the pantry’s shelves are well stocked. So when you head out to stock your pantry at home, grab a few extras and bring them on by Touché. Our collection box will be out by the front door through the end of the year.
Everyone that brings in a donation of non-perishable food items this Friday will get a complimentary drink and tickets for some unique door prizes. (If you don’t bring in a food donation, you can bribe us with a cash donation for the pantry to get some tickets) Once again, we looking for more than just that can of creamed corn sitting in the back of your cabinet. Hit the Aldi or dollar stores and get a bagful of groceries. Think of a meal, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Don’t forget those personal care items either, if you are getting yourself a new toothbrush, razors or shampoo, get a second one for the pantry.

If you can’t be here on Friday (even if you are) our food drive runs through the end of the year. Please drop off a donation anytime you stop by the bar. Touché’s customers have been one of Groceryland’s biggest supporters. Lori reports that in years past, the cumulative collection of donations at the bar week after week during this drive has been one of their top donation sites. We’ll remind each week to keep up the effort to help our brothers and sisters that are living with AIDS.
