DOUGLAS, Mich. — This past weekend was the annual Mr. Dunes Leather contest held at The Dunes Resort in Douglas Michigan. The Mr. Dunes Leather contest is a feeder contest for the Mr. Michigan Leather contest held in September. This years winner will go on to compete in the Mr. Michigan Leather contest.
This years Judges included Nicholas James Ruse, Mr. Campit Bear 2015; Neil Seabert, Mr. Campit Leather 2014; and Steven Joseph, Mr. Dunes Leather 2016. Judges boy was David Peaterman, Mr. Dunes Leather 2014. Tally master duties were handled by International Leather Sir 2014, Sir Mark. Producer of the Mr. Dunes Leather event is David German, Mr. Michigan Leather 2011.
This year Mr. Dunes had two men competing for the title. Emcee, Mr. Michigan Leather 2016, Ken Kennedy announced the two contestants, Tim Koski from Chesaning, Mich. and Dragon from Kalamazoo.
The contest started with both men wearing their dress leathers talk about why they decided to run for the title. Tim Koski talked about what the Dunes Resort itself meant to him and how he hoped to work towards stopping infighting with in the Leather community while Dragon spoke on the importance of being yourself and how he wants to bring that message to his Leather Brothers.
The next part of the contest was the Pecs & Personality portion where both contestants displayed their physiques. The contestants were asked to seduce their judges with a type of candy. I am not sure I can antiquity describe what happened next. There was a display of simulated anillingus using Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups that word’s just wont do justice, however those in attendance seemed to really enjoy it.
Pecs & Personality was followed by the step aside speech from Mr. Dunes Leather 2016, Steven Joseph.
The final portion of the contest was the Bar Wear portion. The contestants dressed in apparel they would wear to the leather bar. After the judges had ample time to take in the contestants look, they were sent back stage allowing time for scores to be tallied.
Once the scored were tallied the contestants were brought back on stage for the announcement of the winner and new Mr. Dunes Leather 2017. This years winner was announced at Tim Koski. The announcement followed by the rewarding of the titleholder sash and Mr. Dunes Leather 2017 back patch.
