It has been brought to my attention , What defines a boy?
We all know what a boy is but where is his place? So many things have changed and continue to change in the BDSM world during our modern “enlightenment”. In the midst of all this change how am i supposed to act as a boy? What role do i play in our community? How can i be best of service to my brothers in Leather?

Every boy has to find their place in this world. Finding my place has become a task in and of itself. Our “entitlement” has made boys become title holders, leaders and even sources of information for the newer, less experienced Doms. How is this new responsibility to be reconciled to the to the role of the mischievous student/protege that historically define a boy at heart? Therein lay quandary.
Sometimes boys are criticized for being too independent, while other times boys are criticized for being too dependent and “slave” like. Very little literature exists to my knowledge about the way a boy should act, the best book i have found so far is “The Leather boys handbook” therefore, i find myself looking inside the community for my answers; for my role models.
Unlike slaves, boys don’t take “no” or “can’t very well, because of our curious nature, we want to know “why not”? (probably much more often than our Sir would like). One of the wonderful aspects of being a boy is the knowledge that we can continually push our limits (and our Sir’s as well) because we know that they will always be there to pick up, wipe the dirt off our knees and tell us it’s okay-and most importantly help us try again.
Although it seams that i am painting a juvenile picture of boys, i firmly believe that boys are foremost men. As men, i think that communications between boys is important. i was informal comradary in the Leather contests.
For those of you reading this wondering why in the #%*@ would a Sir allow a boy to write this, all i can say is, sometimes it is fun to play with fire (God knows i like to!) and have a bit of uncertainty. i welcome any comments!
