ALLEN PARK, Mich. – This week’s class is: Choosing a Kink-friendly Therapist with Matt Sweet!
Many people see a therapist at some point in their lives, either as part of a couple or as an individual. The choice of a particular therapist can have a major impact on the success of treatment. Choosing a therapist can be daunting, and maybe even more so if you want to find a therapist who is kink-friendly. Come and discuss what kinds of concerns might lead someone to seek therapy, and how to go about selecting a good therapist.
Some topics for discussion:
What kinds of concerns would a therapist be helpful for, anyway? Where do you look for a Kink-friendly therapist? How do you know if your therapist is kink-friendly? What about the therapist’s education? License? How much of my information will be reported to my insurance company?
