BOE Small Web Logo 448pix by 336pxALLEN PARK, Mich. – This week’s class is: How to Build a Flogger for 20 Bucks or Less (and other cool inexpensive stuff)  with GuardedHeart.

This is a hands-on, interactive class about how to make cool, quality toys, on a strict budget. We will be covering where to find workable leather cheap, how to pick it out, and how to utilize it to the best advantage. For those that wish, will also be building simple floggers step by step, as well as other pervertables. If you have old scrap leather you do not know what to do with, bring it! This includes, but is not limited to, old coats, skirts, sections of an old leather sofa, belts you were going to throw away, etc… If you want to craft but do not have anything you want to revamp, please come anyway. There will be scrap leather available for sale ($17 or less) from a local leather working store.

*For all crafting, there will be an additional $3 material fee to cover incidentals.* The materials included will be a set of dowels (for floggers), and some with wooden spoons (for paddles), nails, popsicle sticks (for spreading glue) & lead shot for weight. If you have your own supplies, feel free to bring them!

Additional items that would be useful to bring: Utility knives, rulers, and quilting mats.

The event page for this class is located here! Please RSVP! Class begins at 7:30 pm in the Packard Room.

Before class meet and greet with our presenter GuardedHeart at O’Henry’s, located in the hotel, for dinner at 6:00 pm. The menu for O’Henry’s can be found here. (Please enter through the door with the green awning.)

Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

See you Tuesday!
