LA&M to host trans masculine artist’s reading, May 31

CHICAGO — The Leather Archives & Museum will host HP Lehkonen, a trans-masc artist from Finland, on Thursday, May 31. 

Lehkonen is the author of the Queer Prism Award-winning “Short Gay Stories” from Cow House Press. He will be doing a reading at the LA&M.

The event is free but donations are encouraged. A $5 donation will get an art print and people who donate $10 will get an art print and a goodie bag. All donations go to the LA&M.

Committee endorses Gary Wasdin for LA&M executive director

CHICAGO — The selection committee for the Leather Archives & Museum has recommended Gary Wasdin for the vacant executive director position.

The LA&M made the announcement in an early Saturday morning post both on social media and in an email press release.

The full LA&M board will consider final approval at its December 10 virtual meeting.

Leather Archives holds public interviews for next Exec Director

CHICAGO — The Leather Archives & Museum in Chicago hosted open interview sessions for the three executive director position over the weekend.

The candidates each were interviewed on stage in the auditorium after private interviews and receptions throughout the day. Jeff Storer had his session on Friday, Dec. 1, Gary Wasdin on Dec. 2, and Alissa Swindell on Dec. 3.

LA&M announces opportunities to meet executive director finalists

CHICAGO — The three finalists for Leather Archives and Museum (LA&M) executive director position will be making site visits and participating in various focus groups and meetings this upcoming weekend.
