St. Louis will be home to the Midwest Leather Weekend 2012

ST. LOUIS  – The producers of the Midwest Puppy Contest and the producer of the Mr. Midwest Leather Contest are pleased to announce the formation of the Midwest Leather Weekend, featuring both contests October 5 – 7, 2012. The weekend will immerse you deeply into a Leather experience. The Midwest Leather Weekend venue, with both contests, will be at the Bad Dog Bar & Grill, 3960 Chouteau Avenue, St. Louis MO 63110.
The weekend kicks off on Friday with the Midwest Puppy Contest, the Mr. Midwest Leather Meet & Greet, and the Leather Dance with a Puppy Mosh Pit. Saturday is the Mr. Midwest Leather Contest followed by the Midwest Leather Ball. Sunday we have the Leather Brunch; a great time to meet the weekend’s winners and share good times.

Some are born great, some have greatness thrust upon them. And some chase balls and chew bones! We are pleased to announce our inaugural year of the Midwest Puppy Contest, produced by Christopher “Tyger” Roth & Bad Dog Enterprises, Inc. This is one of the first large regional Puppy Contests covering the states of  Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Indiana, Missouri, Minnesota, Michigan, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota & Ohio. The contest will follow the format of the International Puppy Contest and we are excited that the winner will head to the International Puppy Contest next year! The winner of the Midwest Puppy title not only represents the Leather & Puppy community, but has to be an active supporter of related causes and events, as well as being well versed in Leather & Puppy lore and culture. The title is not just about the collar and dog bowl, it’s a means for doing good for the community. Being confident and the best pup you can be while taking part in the contest in gear is definitely a help!

The Mr. Midwest Leather Contest 2012 will be bigger and better than last year. Contestants will be introduced during the Meet & Greet on Friday, Oct. 5. The contest starts 10 pm Saturday night, Oct. 6, 2012, followed by the Midwest Leather Ball where the audience can meet the contestants, winners of the contests, judges and Leather folk from around the Midwest and around the world.

“This year we will again feature unique entertainment during the intermission as well as a great contest.” says Charlie Schoenherr, producer of the Mr. Midwest Leather Contest. “We had a great turnout last year and look forward to a great crowd this year as well. The Midwest Puppy Contest on Friday adds a whole new perspective to the weekend.”
