Puppy Ronnie “Timber” Millard
06/06/1971 – 2/13/2013
WASHINGTON – Timber (or “Puppy” as many called him) was born and lived most of his life in the Washington DC area. He served a short period in the U.S. Marine Corps before being discharged with a medical condition. He was also an employee of the DC Eagle for several years.
Puppy was an active member of the DC area leather and pup communities. He joined the DC boys of Leather in August 2000 and became a Lifebrother of that club in 2010. During that time he received the DCboL Leatherboy of the Year Award in 2001 and served terms as both the club’s secretary and later, vice-president. He served many years on the board of Brother Help Thyself as the DCboL representative. Additionally, Timber was an associate member of the Highwaymen TNT and the Protean Guard.
Timber was a member of Mama’s Family as “Mama’s Speca Pup.” He also held the title of Maryland Leatherboy 2002.
In 2009, Puppy joined the emerging puppy & handler group that became the Mid-Atlantic Kennel Korps. He was a regular feature at the pup moshes held during Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend, having organized many of them himself.
To know Puppy was to know someone who always gave of himself. No matter what was going on, he was always there, ready and willing to help. He had a very unique way of looking at life and the world. And sometimes you just couldn’t help but smile along with him.
Timber is survived by both parents, his brother Robby, and several cousins
