SOUTH BEND — This month’s Rope Bite South Bend meeting will be on October 8th from 2:30 – 5:30pm.
Rope Bite South Bend is held prior to the South Bend Kink Munch
The meeting agenda for Rope Bite South Bend is as follows:
2:30 Doors to the venue open. Please do not arrive earlier than this time.
2:45 Rope Bite begins.
Topics for this meeting will be:
Rope Bottoming Skills
We will be presenting skills useful for bottoming in rope bondage, with a focus on self care and preparing for challenging floor work and suspension. This is not just for the bottoms though. These skills are useful for tops to be aware of and there will be learning exercises throughout, finishing up with a tying exercise at the end to start putting some of the ideas discussed into practice right away.
Safety
We will discuss common fears and risk involved with rope play, as well as how to do self check-ins so your safety isn’t solely in the hands of your top. Topics will include preparation for bondage, learning your limits, and skills to use while in rope. There will be an exercise to start to learn what safe pain feels like so that you can recognize and differentiate it from harmful pain.
Communication
From rigger vetting and negotiations, to aftercare and check-ins; communication throughout rope bondage is vital. We will cover important questions to ask a new rigger, and demonstrate a negotiation, including aftercare needs. A final demonstration and exercise will focus on flow of information from the bottom to the top during bondage.
Even if you don’t have a top for the final exercise, bottoms should still attend as there’s lots of important information that they can use in the future with any rope partner.
As always, if you see a picture online of something you want to learn, bring it to Rope Bite. We want to teach and learn what interests our members.
