Pup Kaine wins Ohio Valley Puppy 2016

COLUMBUS, Ohio — This past weekend in Columbus Ohio at the Barracks at AWOL was the second ever Ohio Valley Puppy Contest. The Ohio Valley Puppy contest takes entries from pups in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. This year 2 contestants, Pup Ace and Pup Kaine competed for the title.

This year contestants participated in meet and greet, open interview/community forum, pup play and speech. Judges for this years contest were Rex Shepard, International Puppy 2017,Duckie, Ms. Bluegrass Leather Pride 2016, Pup Atlas Ohio Valley Puppy 2015, Pup Flair Tri-Sate Puppy 2015 and Ron Clemmons owner and procuder of Tri-State Leather, Rubber, Pup.

We asked what made this year stand out to producer Zak “Pup Havok” Rittenhouse said, “We are really showing the diversity of the pup community. We are showing that here in the Ohio Valley you are welcome no matter who you are and how you identify.”

After a grueling evening led by Mistress of Ceremonies Stella Boehme, a local drag personality, who had folks in stiches with her wit and sass, Pup Kaine was announced as Ohio Valley Puppy 2016 and Pup Ace as First Runner Up.
