FRIDAY, JUNE 22 … Join us for PRIDEFEST..we’ll open the bar at 2 pm so you can cool off before the street fair starts at 4pm … Festive … Jubilant … Fun … are just a few of the words to describe this two day-long gathering that’s a non-stop, early-summer party… This crowd-pleasing gay and lesbian celebration of community pride will be back bigger than ever in its 10th YEAR … PRIDEFEST showcases an eclectic lineup of arts & crafts, food and other vendors… It also features entertainment on two stages including one dedicated to some of Chicago’s finest GLBT performers… Don’t miss SIXTEEN CANDLES at 8pm on the North Stage … Cell Block will have a huge tent in front of the bar selling BEER, WINE, CHAMPAGNE, FROZEN SLUSHEES and SOFT DRINKS … Party in the street until 10pm … And you can just step right inside the bar for any other drink or cocktail … $4.25 FAT TIRE bottles inside …
SATURDAY, JUNE 23 … Day two of PRIDEFEST begins at 11am and continues until 10pm on the street… Lots of live music today on two stages including Thea Austin, Frenchie Davis, Martha Wash and more… And don’t miss the Pet Parade kicking off at noon … Bar opens at 11am … and stop in after the street fair winds down as we keep the party going til 3 am…..
SUNDAY, JUNE 24 … Bar opens at 11am … Join us for the 43rd ANNUAL PRIDE PARADE … This year’s parade features over 200 registered entries and floats … The parade begins at noon from Montrose and Broadway and then continues south on Halsted right in front of Cell Block … Hundreds of thousands of spectators are expected, so get to Cell Block early and claim your spot … Back Bar opens at 4pm this afternoon …
MONDAY, JUNE 25…. stop by to wind down, cool off, and talk about the weekend…… we’ll open the bar at 2 PM this Monday only as we ROKK THE BLOCK…. vintage and current rock music will provide a great background for our $4.25 ROKK VODKA specials…… Dustin and Kelly will be happy to serve you…..
