NLA-Indianapolis goes independent

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis chapter of the National Leather Association voted last week to go independent. The split was a friendly one.

Chapter president Master LT had this response when contacted by the Great Lakes Den:

The mission of NLA-International is to foster the formation and stable growth of local leather organizations with the goal of them becoming their own self sustaining organizations. NLA-Indianapolis had a few iterations over the years and with the help of International slowly grew into an important part of the Indianapolis leather and kink community. It was decided by both the local membership and the International board that Indianapolis had developed to the point of self sufficiency.

Until an appropriate name is decided upon, we shall be known as The Leather Group formerly known as NLA Indianapolis as we make this transition.

We have some very exciting changes and events coming up. A new membership structure will allow those interested in learning about the leather lifestyle to become an associate member for one year before becoming a full member. Associate members will attend classes, complete assigned readings and participate in educational events.

The club does have events planned for June including a dinner/demo focusing on foot fetish with a leather barbershop/spa day with a straight razor shaving demo, massages, bootblacking, waxing and facials. The event is open to everyone 18 or older and tickets are available online.
