CHICAGO — The new titleholders for American Brotherhood Weekend were selected this past weekend at the Leather Archives & Museum in Chicago.
Doug Kuhn of Phoenix, Ariz., won American Leatherman, Sheila of Charleston, S.C., won American Leatherwoman and Steve Carlise from West Hollywood, Calif. won American Leatherboy. The were awarded the titles out of the largest field the contest has had in years with three contestants for Leatherwoman, three for Leatherboy and five for Leatherman.
The judges for this year were writer Vern Stewart, Illinois Ms. Leather Pride 2016 Sarah Sloane, Mr. Texas Leather 2012 Gabe Sims, Mr. International Rubber 19 Gummibarchen, and Chicago community mentor Nancy Lee Weinberger. Karen Ultra once again served as emcee.
First runner up for American Leatherman was Ryan Baehr, from Portland, Oregon, and the second runner up was Scottie Tidwell, hailing from San Diego, California. Also competing were Sir Kevin, from Baltimore, Maryland, and Todd Sittler, from Pearland, Texas.
For Leatherwoman, first runner up was Margaret Irene, from Baltimore, Maryland, and second runner up was Stormy Styles, from Portland, Oregon.
With Leatherboy, first runner up was Boy David, from Glen Burnie, Maryland, and second runner up was Josh, from Prairieville, Louisiana.
The Brotherhood awards, chosen by contestants, went to Steph, Boy David, and Doug Kuhn.
