Mr. Midwest Rubber This Weekend

CHICAGO – If you hadn’t already heard, Mr. Midwest Rubber is this weekend at Touche in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood. So if you happen to like things slick, shiny and elastic, come over this weekend.

The winner of the contest will go on to represent the Midwest at the Mr. International Rubber contest in November, again in Chicago but in Lakeview. MIR 2012 Sly Hands will be one of the judges and Chicago’s own Rubberwilli, MIR2003, will be the emcee.

Things start of at 9 p.m. with the Welcome Party at Touche. The contestants will be meeting the judges and the crowd. There will also be raffles and demos through out the night.

The contest itself starts on Saturday at 10 p.m. Rubberwilli always runs a tight ship (take that as you will), so the contest will end in time for the Gear Night in Touche’s backroom. Dress code will be enforced.

The weekend wraps up with the Victory Beer Bust on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m., also at Touche.

The Chicago Den will be covering events the whole weekend, so stay tuned for the photos, stories and video!
