Mr. Liberty Leather Coming Up in Pontiac, Mich.

Liberty Leather FlyerPONTIAC, Mich. – The Liberty Bar in Pontiac will be the host of the Mr. Liberty Leather Contest on Friday, March 15, and Saturday, March 16.

Liberty Leather is a feeder contest for the Mr. Michigan Leather contest in the fall. The  winner will get registration paid for Mr. Michigan Leather competition, a Mr. Liberty leather sash,  a Mr. Liberty medallion, a donation to Travel Fund and a $25.00 bar tab. He will also need to host at least four charity leather nights at the bar before the MML contest in September.

The first runner-up will get a $25 bar tab and the second runner-up will get a $15 bar tab.

The emcee for the weekend will be Steven Teets, Mr. Michigan Leather 2013 and last year’s winner of Mr. Liberty Leather.

The judges are Nathan Grey, Mr. Northbound Leather 2012; Sir Tim; JD, Mr. Hayloft Leather Bear 2012; Randy Wrisinger; Mr. Michigan Leather 2008; and Miss September Murphy. Den daddy is Kevin Kinky Boots and the tallymaster is the recently sashed Sir Mark, Michigan LeatherSir 2013.

The contest is produced by Sir Papa Bear, Great Lakes LeatherSir 2012, and Woody Woodruff, International Mr. Leather 2012.

The weekend starts at 10 p.m. on Friday, March 15, at the Liberty Bar with a meet and greet. The public portion of the contest starts at 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 16. The public portion will be in three categories: Leather Attitude and Speech, where contestants will be in formal leather and tell the audience what they want to accomplish with the title; Bar Wear, where contestants will also be asked a formal question from the judges; and Best “ASSets,” where the clothing is anything goes and the judges ask a fun question.

Everyone is invited to the victory brunch on Sunday, March 17, at the Liberty Bar at 12 noon.
