LEXINGTON, Ky. – This year marked the inaugural Mr. Crossings Bear Contest at Crossings Lexington in Lexington, Ky., held on June 29. The contest was co-produced by John David Elam and Sam Clemons, along with Crossings owner Darrell Johnson.

A full capacity was on hand as Master of Ceremonies Daryl Lyons, Emperor 31 of the Imperial Court of Kentucky and judges Clayton Burchell, Mr Crossings 2011 & Mr Lexington Pride; Tim Logsdon, Crossings Event Manager; and Aaron Huddleston, Mr Kentucky Bourbon Bear 2011 ran the three contestants: Ben Poynter, Mark Goodlett, and Jim Nichols through the categories to select the first Mr. Crossings Bear.

At the end of the evening, the capable judges panel selected Mark Goodlett as First Runner-Up, and Jim Nichols as Mr. Crossings Bear 2012.  Jim will be seen at many events during his title year, as well as has the option to run for Mr. Kentucky Bourbon Bear in September 2012 if he wishes.
