DETROIT, MI – The 2014 Michigan LeatherSIR/Leatherboy, Ms. Leather Pride, Community Boot Black, and Master/slave contests will take place the weekend of March 14-15, 2014 at Menjo’s Bar located at 928 McNichols Rd. W, Detroit, MI 48203. These contests are all “players” titles that require the contestant to show interest and activities in the Leather and BDSM Communities.
The judges for this year are Ms. Constance (community educator, activist), Sir Mark (Great Lakes LeatherSIR 2013), Chuck (Mr. Michigan Leather 2014), Daddy Spike (form Associate Director of MAsT), and Master Michael (Great Lakes Master 2013). Contest production assistance is being provided by LIFE Detroit.
Friday night of the event is the “meet and greet” for the contestants and judges. It is also a CLAW Nation event with fund raising for local charities with the assistance of ICON Detroit. Friday night also include a pup mosh pit for the local pup community.
Saturday will start off with the contest at noon for the closed portion of the contest with BDSM demos, boot black technical, and Master/slave presentations starting approximately 2pm, which will be open to the public. The remainder of the contest will start at 9pm Saturday night with all the on-stage assets on display. The evening will be emceed by Angel Essence. There will also be auctions for the travel fund to support the winners as they continue on to Great Lakes Leather Alliance Weekend (www.greatlakesleather.org) to compete to their respective regional titles.
