DETROIT — This year’s Motor City Pride festivities are on June 10th, 1 pm-8 pm and June 11th, 12 pm-7 pm at Hart Plaza in Detroit, Michigan.
The entertainment schedule includes a wide array of activities from DJs to Drag Shows to Poetry Readings to Rupaul Drag Race Stars including Kim Chi and Adore Delano.
The highlight of the weekend is generally the pride parade that starts at 12 pm on Sunday, June 11th. This year the leather community is pushing for a larger contingent and ICON Detroit and the Michigan Band of Brothers have organized a meet at 10:30 am at Hart Plaza.
There will also be a Pup Mosh at Motor City Pride! Michigan Puppy 2016 Pup Dodger and Bootblack Trooper along with the Menjos Complex are hosting the event at the Riverfront Patio/Menjos Showcase area. The mosh is Saturday June 10th at 12 pm, held in the grass near the patio and open to the public, it’s going to give an eye opening look at pup play to the LGBT community at large for the first time in Detroit Pride History.
