MCL 2013 Kicks Off

CHICAGO – The 2013 Mr. Chicago Leather contest kicked off on Friday, Jan. 26, with a meet and greet at Touche in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood and a full house.

The bar was packed as people came from as far away as New York for the contest, emceed again by John Pendal, IML 2003. John introduced the judges: Woody Woodruff, International Mr Leather 2012; Angel Velez, Mr Chicago Leather 2012; Collin Wood, Mr Midwest Rubber 2012; Sheldon Harrison, Shel-Don Chicago Leather; and Dean Ogren, American Leatherman 2000.

The contestants, all Chicagoans, are Boomer, 29; Darrell, 44; Corey, 33; and Nick, 28. The winner tonight will go on to represent the city at International Mr. Leather 2013 on Memorial Day weekend.

There will be a Fetish Flea Market on both Saturday and Sunday afternooons, where the public is invited to bring in their lovingly used gear to sale or trade. Both afternoons will also feature a demo/class.

The contest starts tonight at 10 p.m. The victory party for the winner will be Sunday at 4 p.m.
