ST. LOUIS — The Show Me Bears of St. Louis welcomed Lew Sutton as Mr. Heartland Bear 2016 this past weekend at JJ’s Clubhouse.
Lew was the winner of the contest and was joined on the podium by William Allen, first runner up, and Chad Reynolds, second runner up. The judges for this year were Ty Portell, Mr. Missouri Leather 2016, Kurt Kielmann, Mr Heartland Bear 2014, Pete Manzo, Mr Heartland Bear 2006, and Kenton Brandon-Fritzius, Mr Heartland Bear 2015. The emcee was Jason Sallee.
The annual competition is open to men from the states immediately adjacent to Missouri, plus Indiana and Ohio. The Mr. Heartland Bear competition is designed to promote the Show-Me Bears in the Heartland region. Contestants come from:
