Leslie J. Anderson Bootblack Foundation Award – Izzy Jaecks

CHICAGO -We are excited to announce the first recipient of the The Leslie J. Anderson Bootblack Foundation Award is:

Izzy Jaecks

The Leslie J. Anderson Bootblack Foundation Award is to recognize and honor Bootblacks who have shown longstanding and exemplary commitment to Bootblacking. We recognize the recipient as an individual that not only embodies the traditions and skills to master the art of bootblacking, but has a vision that looks far into the future of preserving history through Leather care.

Izzy Jaecks resides in Wisconsin and works as a Bootblack at the Stag Barbershop. Izzy’s past Titles include 2003 Great Lakes Bootblack and 2004 International Ms. Bootblack.

The Leslie J. Anderson Bootblack Foundation Award will be presented by Leslie J. Anderson to Izzy Jaecks at the American Brotherhood Weekend (ABW) event on October 10, 2015.

The Leslie J. Anderson Bootblack Foundation was developed in order to honor and reward Bootblacks who contribute to their community. The annual Foundation’s funds are distributed to assist Community Bootblacks for various small emergencies, education and travel funds. The Foundation also benefits the International Mr. Leather, Bootblack Travel Fund. The Foundation 501(c)(3) Status pending.
