The Leather Leadership Conference XVI took place this year in Nashville, Tennessee. People from all walks of the Leather and Kink Communities, who had an interest in either polishing up leadership Skills or learning new ones, gathered at the Radisson Opryland Hotel from April 13-15. 2012. LLC XVI followed in the footsteps of the previous year’s event in Los Angeles which included the community-shaking keynote speech given by Guy Baldwin. The Local Organizing Committee from Nashville and the National Board of the LLC set out to prove that they could be held accountable for their actions and respond favorably to constructive criticism given to them by their peers and other community leaders.
There were a few changes and welcome additions to the overall set up and flow of the event. Kicking off with two pre-conference intensives, one by Janet Hardy of Greenery Press, teaching Small Publishing and Self-Publishing for Perverts and the second (Good for an ASSECT credit) by Ginger Loverde of Georgia Institute for Better Sex and Kisa who spoke on Get Smart-A Model for Adult Sexual Education for Adults. Both of these received rave reviews and heartfelt gratitude.
