CHICAGO – The Chicago Hellfire Club has signed an agreement with the Leather Archives & Museum that will have the Archives maintaining an preserving the files and archives of one of the country’s oldest leather clubs.

The announcement was made during the CHC cocktail party at the Congress Plaza Hotel on Saturday, May 23. CHC President David Katzenburg told the gathering that the club had made the decision after records and archives had been damaged by water at the CHC’s clubhouse. It was made official by the signing of the agreement by David and LA&M President Chuck Renslow.

Rick Storer, Executive Director of the LA&M, said that this is the first time that an active club has handed the maintenance of records and archives to the museum. The CHC will also contribute to a fund specifically for the maintenance and protection of the material.
