Judging panel announced for Eastern Canada LeatherSIR/Leatherboy 2013

TORONTO – The Eastern Canada LeatherSIR / Leatherboy contest weekend will take place in Toronto at the end of March on the Easter long weekend. ECLSb events will run Thursday, March 28 through Sunday, March 31. Presenting Sponsor of ECLSb 2013 is Steamworks. Priape is the Major Sponsor.

The contests to select new Eastern Canada LeatherSIR and Leatherboy titleholders will take place Saturday, March 30. The organizers of ECLSb are pleased to announce the panel of judges for the 2013 ECLSb contests, as follows:

  • Jack Duke, International LeatherSIR 2012, from Dallas, Texas, who will serve as head judge;
  • boy Alex, Eastern Canada Leatherboy 2012, from Kingston, Ontario; and from Toronto, Ontario
  • Tony Palazzo, International LeatherSIR 2009;
  • Sir Marc Paquet-Decker; and,
  • boy Farrell.

Each contest weekend, ECLSb depends on a roster of talented and dedicated volunteers. Returning as contest staff this year are five Toronto leather people: boy Alex Dunlop, Bootblack Toronto 2006, will serve as Tally Master; Pup Kalen will serve as Judge’s boy; Dan Madden will be Den Daddy; Fenn, Mr International Rubber 2010, will be Stage Manager; and, Gloria McIsaac, will be Box Office Manager.

Returning as emcee for the contest is Tom Stice, International slave 1995 and Southeast Mr Drummer 1998, of Chicago.

ECLSb contestants will be judged in four categories: Interview; Speech & Image; Physique; and Fantasy Scene based on the region’s assigned theme. The contestant’s interview portion will take place in private with the judges prior to the contest; the three remaining categories take place on stage during the contest.

The leather sex Fantasy Scene portion of the contest is one thing that sets ECLSb apart from many other contests styled after International Mr. Leather or Mid-Atlantic Leather formats. In past years ECLSb contestants were required to incorporate a specific regional theme into their fantasy scene; that requirement has been dropped this year and contestants may choose any form of BDMS or leather sex on which to base their fantasy scene.

LeatherSIR/Leatherboy are “player’s titles” — erotic titles representing the sexual side of gay leather men. The primary goal of ECLSb is networking and outreach, to help educate the community about leather men, our erotic expression, traditions and history – and of course, BDSM and hot leather sex!

The ECLSb 2013 contest weekend will feature seven events between Thursday night (March 28) and Sunday afternoon (March 31). For complete roster of events, visit http://www.LeatherSirCanada.com.
