CHICAGO – James Tyrcha of Chicago won the first Mr. Leather 64Ten contest on Saturday, March 12, at Jackhammer. He’ll be the first trans contestant to represent Chicago at International Mr. Leather in May.

James came out on top of six contestants to win the title.

This is the second year for the title, with Michael Pacas taking it to IML last year, but this is the first year for the title to be given in a contest and not as a sponsored title.

The judges for the contest were Will Boyd-Bohaczek, Mr Wisconsin Leather 2015; Justin St. Clair, 2014 International Trainer and a producer of the Illinois Puppy Contest; Tina MacKay, deputy director of CLAW 2016; Dan Ronneberg, American Leatherman 2015; and Michael was the head judge.

One contestant didn’t return on Saturday evening and as of press time, it was not known why he didn’t return. He had been at the meet and greet on Friday night and taken part in the interviews earlier on Saturday.
