AMES, Iowa – My name is Sasha and I am the current president of Cuffs, an Iowa State University affiliated BDSM/Kink club. We are a student run organization that focuses on educating students on various aspects of BDSM and Kink through presentations and demonstrations. Some of you may remember us as some of us came to SINSations this year!
What we do is every Thursday we meet in the University and have a speaker present a certain topic, bring in some equipment or toys and give a 1-2 hour presentation and possibly demonstration.
As we are a university club, we have to adhere to school policies and we cannot hit each other, have an open flame, or cut/pierce each other. We can however hit the impact dummy that we own, tie each other up and test some mild electric equipment. In the past presenters have also chosen to show videos or use other means to demonstrate how something can be used on a body, such as demonstrating needle play on limes.
We are currently looking for presenters for the next academic year. As of now, we have set dates for the first semester as follows:
September: 9/27
October: 10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25
November: 11/1, 11/8, 11/15, 11/29
We are looking for any presenters willing to come and educate mostly 101 level BDSM/Kink enthusiasts in any variety of topics. A list of previous meetings held at Cuffs can be found on the website here, this semester’s meetings are here.

Of course if that doesn’t fit into your schedule, we do meet all school year and are looking to find presenters for the second semester, January through April in 2013 (Also Thursday’s at 7). If you absolutely can’t do a Thursday but would be willing to come speak at the campus in a Small lecture room, we could most likely set that up as well.
