ST. LOUIS, MO – The International Puppy Contest was held this weekend at the Bad Dog Bar & Grill in St. Louis.
The judges were pup Tripp, International Puppy 2014; Robb Lappe, Central Plains Leather Sir 2012; Paul Brown, Great Lakes Leather boy 2014; Nikki Wireman, Ms. New Jersey Leather 2014; Mike Prater, Mr. Midwest Leather 2011; Pup Hercules, Midwest Puppy 2012; and Pup Ranger. The contestants were Pup Frogger, Pup Figaro, Pup Havok, and Pup Wolf. Pup Figaro, won the title of International Puppy 2015. Pup Wolf was the runner up.
Pup Scout won the Best In Show title. Jyan Craig Delamotte was awarded Handler of the Year. Pup Apollo was awarded Puppy of the Year.
The benefit charity for the event was the Rainbow Ranch Project (recyclingrover.com), an animal rescue project near St. Louis.
Before the contest, Jinger Fahrenheit, Karma T. Cassidy, and Dick Nail-Em performed with DJ Nine Behind. The contest included live auctions of gift baskets, speeches on the importance of community, and a lot of howling. The Canadian contingent subtly reminded everyone that this was truly an international competition.
