The International Pony Play Championships will be held during the weekend of April 26 – 29, 2012 at Beyond Leather in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
This will be the second year that IPPC is being held at Beyond Leather. Last year’s was a huge success and so much fun for everyone. We are really looking forward to seeing the beautiful ponies and wonderful handlers again this year.
Last year’s Grand Champions were Foxy and Sherifox. Foxy will entertain us this year as our Emcee while Sherifox helps out with the ponies backstage and offers her assistance as a handler to any single ponies that would like to enter. Although only the pony/handler pairs are eligible for the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion titles, all ponies are eligible to win ribbons.
We are proud to announce that our returning judges are Ms. Gwen (originator of the IPPC), Zelle (lifelong dressage rider and trainer) and Liza (International Master 2011). Joining them at the judges table will be Sir Charles (pony trainer) and Little John (pony play enthusiast).
The Grand Champions will have the opportunity to travel around the country giving demos and classes on pony play. Beyond Leather will offer a travel fund to help subsidize travel expenses for the winning pair. Pony/handler pairs only pay $50 each person for their entry into the contest and then their event fee is waived. Single ponies pay the event fee and are refunded $50 as a “thank you” for participating in the contest. Please contact chris (Miss Rae’s pet) at IPPCdirector@
