International Mr. Leather Weekend raises $72,000 for the LA&M

Leather Archives Anniversary LogoCHICAGO — The Leather Archives & Museum announced today that International Mr. Leather and International Mr. Bootblack weekend raised $72,000 for the LA&M during the 2016 Memorial Day Weekend event.  In addition to donations from visitors to the IML Leather Market, funds were raised at a raffle of a portable sling from Fort Troff, a roast of the outgoing International Mr. Leather (Patrick Smith) and International Mr. Bootblack (Bamm Bamm), and other fundraising events and gifts.

The LA&M celebrated 25 Years of Leather History during the weekend through a message from LA&M President Chuck Renslow and a special presentation from volunteers, board members, staff and donors. In addition to fundraising events, hundreds of attendees enjoyed LA&M exhibits and programs at the IML host hotel and the museum itself.
