INDIANAPOLIS — It’s almost here! Pride 2016 will be the week of June 4th and ends with a kick ass parade/festival on Saturday June 11. Once again, IKS has a booth for the parade on Saturday and managed to snag last year’s location!
What does that mean? Well for those who didn’t make it last year, we have one of the busiest locations on the parade block, we ran out of water continuously and had to have people go fetch more! So, we learned our lesson and know that in order to make this year even more successful we need lots and lots and lots of water and volunteers
We are calling on the community to volunteer to help with set up, tear down, work the booth during the festivities, and people to possibly be gophers. We are also requesting water and soda donations.
Our goal is to have as many volunteers as possible so everyone will get a chance to enjoy the parade.
So if you can’t volunteer then donate soda or water. If you can’t afford to donate then volunteer.
It’s a win/win for everyone and a excellent way to support not only the LGBTQ community but our kink community as well.
Donations can be dropped off at any of the events we have coming up (coffee, sloshes, rope). Just let one of the board members know if your bringing something and we’ll make arrangements to pick it up.
Please post below if your interested in volunteering along with a time preference (set up, mid morning, afternoon, tear down), if you have one. Once we have a schedule available we will send it out to our volunteers.
