IMAS hosts Beat My Valentine in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — This last Saturday, Indianapolis was the site for IMAS’s ( one day annual Beat My Valentine event.

Known as one of the real event bargains in the area, this local club’s event has grown to where now it supports hundreds of kink/BDSM/leather people from the surrounding states. Three well-attended tracks of classes were presented at four different times in the afternoon with topics ranging from those that covered power exchange to various forms of impact play (

For those taking a break from the classes, half a dozen vendors plied their wares while an upcoming contestant for Indiana Leather Pride Bootblack plied her trade. The play spaces opened at eight after a few hour break for supper and for the class spaces to be changed over to play spaces. Stations from spanking benches to crosses to more specialized ones that included wresting mats were located in the regular and quiet playrooms.

Many attendees were found congregated outside the play areas to socialize and wait for their time slot or to cool down after their time was up. As one first time couple who attended quipped, “This was our first large event of any kind. BMV was exactly the right mix of large enough to not know everyone but small enough to be welcomed warmly and effusively. The class options allowed us to focus on different aspects of our relationship and still have fun. We met, talked to and developed bonds with well-known people and newcomers alike. Many aspects of kink and leather were represented by attendees and our exposure to the larger BDSM community was far beyond our expectations. We would definitely recommend it to others, both new and versed in the lifestyle.”
