CHICAGO – The Illinois Leather and Fetish Pride weekend kicks off in Chicago on September 14 with a new contest, Illinois Puppy 2013.
Other contests being held during the weekend include state titles for Master/slave, Sir/boy, Ms. Leather Pride and Community Bootblack. Winners of those contests will go on to Great Lakes Leather Weekend 2013 in Indianpolis. The winner of the puppy contest will go on to International Puppy in Florida.
Contest producer and MC Sir Bear said in a statement that, “Illinois Leather N Fetish Pride hopes to promote and enhance communication between each of these groups, and to promote the success and welfare of the individuals and organizations within our combined community. We especially want to protect against threats to our freedom of expression. ”
The head judge is RubberWillie of Chicago, a former Mr. International Rubber and current producer of MIR. Other judges are GLLA c0-producer slave garret of Indianapolis, former Great Lakes Leather Sir Don Leach of Chicago, Chicago Puppy Patrol co-founder Sir Luph Simien, Florida Community Bootblack 2011 boi jen, 2010 Ohio Valley Regional Leather Pride boy robert, International Ms Bootblack 2009 Pony and Great Lakes Leather boy 2011 pup snuggles.
Applications for the contest are being accepted up until September 14 at 9 p.m. Applications for all contests are availabe at http://illfp.org/contest/.
The contest is open to the public with a $5 suggested donation or bag of pet food for Poz Pets.
The meet and greet starts on Friday, September 14 at 9 p.m. Saturday will have demos from 1 to 4 p.m. at the LRA-Chicago, just up the street from host bar Touche. The contest will be at 9:30 on Saturday, September 15, with open play at the LRA. There will be a victory BBQ at Touche on Sunday, September 16, at 3 p.m.
