CHICAGO – Illinois Leather N Fetish Pride had three new titleholders after their contest on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at Touche in Chicago. Sir Mike and slave angie won Illinois Master/slave 2013 and Sir Jeff won Illinois LeatherSir 2013. All three will go on to compete at Great Lakes Leather Weekend in Indianapolis in Summer 2013.
Last year’s Master/slave titleholders Master Peter and evangeline and last year’s LeatherSir Justin each gave stepdown speeches calling on people to get involved in the leather community. Pup Astro, the Illinois Community Booblack 2012, was given the Class Choice and Producer’s Choice awards for his work in promoting the contest both in Illinois and through out the region. Touche, the host bar, was given the Sponsors Award.
Sir Mike and angie spoke on communication within the Master/slave relationship to maintain a solid base. Sir Jeff spoke on bullying within the gay community and called on those present to step up and mentor newcomers to the community.
