High Shine Leatherfest to be Part of Chicago Artists Month

High ShineCHICAGO – LA&M presents the Chicago premiere of “High Shine: 15 Years of International Ms. Bootblack” at High Shine Leatherfest, November 14th 2015.

The Leather Archives & Museum has announced “High Shine Leatherfest” to be held Saturday, November 14th 2015. The event runs from 11:00am to 5:00pm and will be held at the LA&M, 6418 N. Greenview Ave. in Chicago. Admission is free for all City of Chicago residents and LA&M members age 18+. Admission for non-residents is $20 general and $10 student (with ID).

High Shine Leatherfest is a part of Chicago Artists Month (CAM). CAM is an initiative of the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events that showcases the work of Chicago’s independent artists and arts organizations.

High Shine Leatherfest will feature the Chicago premiere of “High Shine: 15 Years of International Ms. Bootblack”, a new documentary by Chicago’s Christina K. Court. The event will also include a screening of “Kink Crusaders”, a bootblacking workshop and on site bootblacks. The specific event schedule will be released prior to the event.
