CHCIAGO – The Great Lakes Leather Alliance has announced the judgest for the 2013 Great Lakes Bootblack contest and put out a call for contestants.
The contest will take place in Indianapolis during Great Lakes Leather Weekend, Aug. 23-25
The contest consists of judging categories, ballot voting, two minute speech, on-stage question and answer, open interview, as well as teaching and technical presentations. New this year, contestants will each do a short public teaching presentation where weekend attendees will have an opportunity to learn bootblacking skills firsthand.
The winner will compete at the international level contest of their choice: International Mr. Bootblack, International Ms. Bootblack, or International Community Bootblack. The winner will receive support and preparation throughout their title year and a travel fund in support of their travel to their International contest.
