FREE Poly Workshop in Chicago: Having/Being a Partner’s Other Partner

CHICAGO – Hosted by Polyamory-Chicago (www.meetup.com/Polyamory-Chicago)

A lot of the time, you can’t date half a couple:

  • How do we get along with somebody’s existing partner once we get involved?
  • How do we interact with our regular partner’s newest squeeze?
  • How do we keep our different partners civil and satisfied when we are the vertex of this love triangle?

If you’ve ever wondered, then this polyamory discussion group is for you!

The success of a polyamorous relationship is almost directly related to the quality of the interactions different partners have with each other.  At this meetup, we’re going to explore peoples’ experience with this dynamic.

Newbies and veterans alike are invited to come join the monthly polyamory discussion group.

What to expect: We’ll discuss our experiences with being involved, inside or outside of a relationship.  What worked?  What didn’t work?  This will primarily be a round table discussion, with a brief Q&A session

When: Saturday afternoon from 2 – 4p

Where: UIC Campus – Exact location provided on the Polyamory-Chicago meetup group

What to Bring: A copy of The Ethical Slut and Opening Up if you have them

Getting there: We meet approximately 200 yards from the UIC-Halstead blue-line L-stop. The following buses stops within ~1/2 mile: 7, 8, 12, 18, 20, 60, 126, 157, 755

Parking: There’s 3-hour metered parking ($1.75/hr); 3 blocks South on the 1000 block of W. Taylor St., and 3 blocks North on the 900 block of W. Jackson Blvd. When in doubt we recommend taking public transportation (save the planet!).
