CHICAGO – On Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Center on Halsted will host a community health and resource fair with a focus on healthy living for LGBTQ individuals. The Feel Good Fair, supported by AbbVie, will be hosted in the Billie Jean King Recreation Hall and Hoover-Leppen Theatre at Center on Halsted, will feature a panel discussion, nutritious cooking demonstrations, fitness and dance activites, and information tables from over 30 health-related vendors.
The primary goal of Center on Halsted’s Feel Good Fair is to educate participants about making healthy choices and creating good habits for healthy living in the LGBTQ community. Vendors for the resource fair will focus on physical health, mental and social well-being. There will be a “find your chakra” scavenger hunt where participants are encouraged to stop by tables with corresponding chakras to get more information about Center on Halsted programs and services, and those who find all eight will receive a prize.
