Fantastic Fall Weather leads to New American Brotherhood Family

American Brotherhood Weekend Inc. has announced the results of the contest held Columbus Day weekend Oct 7-9 in Chicago.  During the final event held at the Leather Archives and Museum (LAAM), Dean Ogren, American Brotherhood Producer announced the winners to the crowd gathered in the Etienne Auditorium.

American Leatherman 2011 Tom Savage, 42, hails from Neptune, N.J., and is an aviation consultant. Tom has been a key member of the Asbury Park, N.J., community for the past 8 years. He has been involved in many of the charities which make up Asbury Park’s GLBT scene and is best known for his Chili Cook Off event.

American Leatherwoman 2011 Trinity, 43, resides in Castro Valley, Calif. Her fantasy brought the house down as a send up to Get Christie Love. Trinity is a single out and proud mother and most recently held the Ms. Alameda County 2010 title. Trinity’s profession is a legal secretary.

Rounding out the family is American Leatherboy boy tyler hailing from Concord, Calif. Tyler is 45 years of age. When he is not working as a Radiologic Technologist, he might be found enjoying one of his many hobbies such as playing the French horn.  He may be seen at events all over the country not only volunteering, but also participating in such events as ILSlb and as co-coordinator for the ICBB contest.


A total of nine contestants rounded out the field including three men, four woman, and three boys.  1st runner up in the American Leatherman Contest was Ben Carter from Monroe, GA and 2nd runner up was Sir Ky Eaton of Pittsburg, Penn.  In the American LeatherWoman Contest, the 1st runner up was Morgaine, from Manchester, N.J., 2nd runner up was Phantom Blue of Hickory, N.C., and as honorary Leathergirl also competing was Shell of Beaverton, Ore.. The American Leatherboy 1st runner up was boy Robert out of Dayton, Ohio.

 The weekend included the Contest events held at the LAAM, which was sponsored by former American Leatherman 1997, Jim Raymond. Touché was a presenting sponsor hosting the Meet and Greet and Sunday Brunch and Victory Party.  Additional presenting sponsors for the event were former American Leatherwoman 2000, Paula Smith, LIP Service Productions and Stellar Systems Solutions.  Premium sponsors include San Diego Leather Pride who also co-hosted the Sunday Brunch, Rough Trade, International Leather Sir, Leatherboy and Community Bootblack and LRA where a play party space was available throughout the weekend.  Stripe Sponsors included Lady Caro, Hooker and the boys, Great Lakes Leather Alliance, International Ms Leather, International Mr Leather, Mr/Ms Pittsburgh Leather Weekend, Women’s International Leatherfest and The Mr and Ms New Jersey Leather contest and LAAM.

Producer Dean Ogren is pleased to announce that ABW 2012 will be held once again in Chicago, Ill.
