DETROIT – The Dirty Show, an annual erotic art exhibit, has announced an open call for submissions for its fifteenth showing.
The show will open on February 7, 2014 in Detroit. The submission details are below:

• Our Call for Submissions is open to Artists from anywhere in the world. • Artists working in all media are invited to submit recent EROTICA (created within the last two years). • All artists must be at least 18 years of age. • Photographers must have signed model releases on file, stating their models are at least 18 years of age*. • Content is totally up to you, as long as the submissions are EROTIC. • All submissions must be of original design and personal execution. • Artwork submitted to previous Dirty Shows exhibitions will not be accepted. • Please understand that shipping costs to and from the Dirty Show are the responsibility of each artist.
Please follow the submission guidelines set out below. Prepare your submission images beforehand according to the instructions. Failure to follow these basic guidelines may result in your work being omitted from the selection process.

File Types accepted: JPEG FILES ONLY (.jpg), (Do Not send links to images or websites).
ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE SENT IN EMAIL FORM. SEND ALL SUBMISSIONS IN ONE (1) EMAIL. DO NOT SEND MULTIPLE EMAILS.
• Artists may submit a maximum of FOUR (4) pieces. • Painting/Illustrations/Photography: Submit no more than one (1) Digital photo of each piece. Your Digital Photo Images CANNOT be any larger than 1MB (1024 kb) each. • Sculpture & Multi-Dimensional Art: Submit no more than three (3) digital photos per piece. • Film/Video: 3 stills and a brief description, or you may email us a hosted link to a video file. • Performance Art and Installations: Email proposal, 100 words or less.
Submission Email Must Include:
• Artist’s Legal Name, • Professional Name, if different. • Street Address, • City, State, Postal Code. • Country (if non-U.S.) • Telephone contact number.
For each piece of artwork submitted, please include the following: • Title(s). • Medium. • Physical dimensions of piece(s). • Approximate price range.
Fees: There is no fee for submitting artwork. Accepted artists will pay a single $20.00 registration fee (per artist, not per piece). Accepted artists receive a complimentary admission to the exhibition.
Juried/Selected Art for the Exhibition is sold at a 35% commission.
Non-juried art and pieces selected for the Museum Store are sold at a 40% commission. All art submitted and accepted to the show must be for sale .
Selection and Notification of Acceptance: Jury Selection Process will take place December 22, 2013. We will notify you via email, please DO NOT email us inquiring about the status of your submission(s). You will also get an email auto-reply confirmation that your submission email was received by us. Artists with works selected to be included in the show will be notified via email. Upon acceptance, artists will receive registration information.
