CHICAGO – International Mr. Leather 34 is quickly approaching, and the LA&M is busy making its final plans for what always turns out to be leather’s most exciting event of the year!
On Thursday, May 26th, The Leather Archives & Museum is pleased to be once again hosting the annual roast of the year’s International Mr. Leather.
Free seating in the auditorium will be available on a first come, first serve basis, but preferred tickets can be purchased by clicking this link.
This year we are especially pleased to be adding the year’s International Mr. Bootblack to the evening dedicated to insults, innuendo, cheap shots… umm, we mean honoring and venerating these outstanding men! Hosted by DJ Kaiser, the evening promises to be a great night filled with laughter and celebration. The Archives will open at 7:00 PM, with the roast starting at 9:00 PM. Bus service will be available from the Hyatt to the LA&M and back after the event.
Volunteers
IML couldn’t happen every year without the amazing staff of volunteers that help with everything from stuffing weekend packages to assisting in the Vendor Market. IML still has several great volunteering opportunities available for the weekend, as well as year round. Volunteers for IML receive a free weekend package to all the events, so giving a few hours of your time can make the whole weekend affordable.

Final Weeks of Philip Hitchcock, Richard Yates to Open in June
On Sunday, June 10, the Guest Artist Gallery will be saying farewell to a most unique collection of sculpture. Philip Hitchock’s show Of Myths and Mortals will be heading back to St. Louis, so if you haven’t had a chance to tour the museum and catch the final days of this exhibit, now is your last chance to do it.
Lucky for the LA&M, the space won’t remain empty long. Minneapolis photographer Richard Yates will be joining us in June, and we are proud to be the first to get a chance to exhibit this fast rising new talent.
The next few days, keep an eye on your inbox for an announcement with the specifics of the opening reception for Richard Yates
