CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Puppy Contest was held at the Leather Stallion on Saturday, March 3.

The contest this year was emceed by Jefferson Tugger and Pup Havok. As with any contest, there were judges, liquored gelatin offerings, and an eager Bootblack ready to do some business throughout the event.

There was one contestant for this year’s contest. The judged categories included: Pop Questions, a Play Scene, a personal Speech, and Community Forum – in which the contestant was asked questions by anyone in attendance. Unfortunately, once the closed Interview scores were added to the calculations, the contestant didn’t reach the 70% of possible points to win the 2018 contest. Pup Axle was asked by the producers to keep the title of Cleveland Puppy for another year.

Once all the official offerings wrapped up, the DJ cranked up the volume and kept the party going until the wee hours of the morning when the bartenders ushered folks out the doors after closing their tabs. Mark your calendars now for the Ohio Puppy & Trainer Contest which will also be hosted at The Leather Stallion Saloon in Cleveland, Ohio March 23 – 25th.
