CLAW Nation raises $5,000 for Leather Archives at IML 2012

CHICAGO – The Leather Archives & Museum announced today that CLAW Nation raised $5,000 through a fundraising auction held on May 25th as a part of International Mr. Leather weekend. 

The auction included motorcycle jackets, art prints, and gift certificates from businesses including Recon, Mr. S Leathers and the Leatherman NYC.  The proceeds will be used to support programs at the Leather Archives including preservation initiatives and new exhibitions.

The Leather Archives & Museum is a library, museum and archives pertaining to leather and alternative sexual communities. The geographic collection scope is worldwide and includes all sexual orientations and genders. The library collection contains books, magazines, scholarly publications, films and electronic resources related to the subject matter. The museum collection contains original erotic art and artifacts from alternative sex organizations and individuals.
