CLEVELAND — Cleveland Leather Awareness Weekend (CLAW) has joined a select group of organizations that have been targeted by Peter LaBarbera, aka “Porno Pete,” and his “Americans for Truth.”
Pete, who in the past has done “exposes” on IML and protested the Leather Archives & Museum, has taken aim at the annual event with a post on the AFT website. He paid very close attention to the fisting and pup play sessions, at least according to the the post. Fliers of the event were included in the post as well as the cover of “Bark!”, a new book on pup play by International Puppy Handler 2014 Justin St. Clair.
Justin did see a major uptick in orders for his book. When reached for comment, he had this response:
“After the amazing PR work that he has done for me, I am in awe of Peter. And I know this seems sudden, and I know this seems to be a particularly public forum, but I would be honored if he would accept my collar. Welcome, pup leviticus.”
In all seriousness, we do ask our readers to thank the host hotels (Holiday Inn-Cleveland South at 216-524-8050 and the Embassy Suites-Rockside at 216-986-9900) for this year’s CLAW for hosting the event and welcoming the community. And to also book as early as possible for next year’s event.
And congratulations to CLAW to reaching the same rarefied ranks of IML and the LA&M in pissing off Porno Pete.
