CHICAGO – The Leather Archives & Museum announced on Thursday, Aug. 7, that CLAW Corporation donated $12,000 to the LA&M following the CLAW 2014 event. The CLAW Nation Silent Auction at International Mr. Leather 2014 raised an additional $5,000 for the LA&M. Since its inception in 2002, CLAW has donated nearly $100,000 to the Leather Archives & Museum and has raised over $500,000 in charitable funds nationwide.
This year, the Leather Archives mounted a new exhibit at CLAW: “To Know What Is Enough” a historical exhibition from the Chicago Hellfire Club collection. Exhibit curator Jakob VanLammeren said “Providing access to the collections at the Leather Archives is a critical part of our mission, and we are so excited to present excerpts from the Chicago Hellfire Club Collection at the LA&M to provide CLAW attendees the chance to experience the amazing 43 year history of the CHC. Most of the materials in this exhibit were on public display for the first time, and the LA&M looks forward sharing this exhibit in the future.”
CLAW 15 will be held from April 23rd to 26th 2015 in Cleveland, OH. Please join the Leather Archives & Museum for this celebration. Visit clawinfo.org for more information and to reserve your room at the new host hotel.
