CINCINNATI — The Dock Nightclub, home of the Mr. Cincinnati Leather contest, announced Friday that they would be closing.
The club said on their Facebook page that they would be closing soon but a date had not yet been sent. Jessica Dimon, the entertainment director, said on her Facebook page that the property had been bought by the city of Cincinnati.
According to Cincinnati.com, the Ohio Department of Transportation had acquired the property for Brent Spence Bridge improvements.

In March 2016, the state petitioned to take over the property and other parcels around it in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court, according to court documents.
In May 2017, the state agreed to pay $675,000 for the property, the documents state.
The settlement stated the bar could continue to operate until June 30, and the state would take possession of the land on July 2.
