CHICAGO — Chicago Bearfest will return for its second time May 24-28.
This year’s schedule of events has bear dancers, the 2018 Chicago Bear & Chicago Cub contest and a special show “My Big Funny Peter” featuring comedian Peter Bisuito.
There is no official host hotel for Bearfest. Most of the events and activities take place in the Andersonville and Rogers Park neighborhoods on Chicago’s far north side. Andersonville and Rogers Park are served by CTA trains and. Out of town guests are encouraged to book accommodations of their choice or stay with local friends. There are numerous hotels, motels, guest houses and Air B&B sites within walking distance of the host venues. A list of area hotels and guest houses are listed on the Chicago Bearfest Facebook page.
Weekend registration for Chicago BearFest is $45 and includes the official Chicago BearFest wristband that entitles you to $1 all your drinks at the host party bars, a 10% discounts on meals at Hamburger Mary’s and the Andersonville Brewing Company Discounts and special offers from area merchants and service during the Bear Crawl, a Chicago BearFest t-shirt and a ticket to the Sunday show “My Big Funny Peter” starring Peter Bisuito.
Registration for Chicago BearFest is available online through Brown Paper Tickets and if you register by May 16 you can save $5 on your package. Local bears can also register in person at Touche’ now to take advantage of the early discount. Registration will also be available during the weekend events.
