ST. LOUIS — Adam Heusinkveld of Chicago won Mr. Midwest Leather 2017 and Pup Axel, Cleveland Puppy 2017, won Midwest Puppy 2017 this past weekend in St. Louis.
The Midwest Leather and Puppy Contest was held at JJ’s Clubhouse, not far from downtown St. Louis. Adam came out ahead of two other contestants: John Owen of Omaha, who go first runner-up, and Pup Chewy of Chicago, who was second runner-up. Pup Xeno of Chicago got first runner-up for puppy. The contest was the climax of a weekend that included classes, dinners and parties throughout the weekend.
