Bondage Club Ann Arbor Rope Jam – April 11

ANN ARBOR — The Bondage Club Ann Arbor Rope Jam returns AGAIN on April 11th. Doors open at 8:45, event starts at 9pm. I’ll lead an introductory/refresher basic bondage lesson at 9:15 for anyone who’s interested. I’ll also bring my rope bondage library to share and inspire. Come partnered or solo. No rope required — I have plenty to share.

What’s a Rope Jam, anyway?

A Rope Jam is an event for bondage lovers to come enjoy doing bondage things. There will be great mood lighting, sexy music, and suspension points for use, but no traditional dungeon equipment such as St. Andrews crosses and spanking benches.

  • The focus is on rope bondage practice and play. It is not a peer rope education event per se — this is just time for you to practice and enjoy.
  • This is not an anything-goes play party. Tying up your partner so that you can beat them/stick needles in them/do electrical play/etc. is not in the spirit of what this is intended to be. If you’re looking for places to do other, different kinds of play and sex things, check out other local groups.
  • Don’t like rope? Feel free to bring your chains, cuffs, rubber bands, balloons, zip-ties, sternly worded commands, etc. Keep it in the bondage spirit.

Rope Jam Rules

We are each responsible for creating and maintaining a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable environment for all in attendance.

1. No means No. It doesn’t mean, “Ask me again later.” Harassment will not be tolerated.
2. Respect the dignity, autonomy, and personal boundaries of all in attendance.
3. Ask for, and wait for permission BEFORE touching/playing with/engaging people/toys/equipment, even casually.
4. Respect that the intention of the Rope Jam is to create a safe and fun space for bondage lovers to play and practice their art. This is not an anything-goes play party nor a meat market.
5. Check in with Cannon before doing edge play, including suspension
6. Respect scenes in progress. Do not interrupt, crowd, or talk to/around people in a scene. Observe from a distance to allow for concentration.
7. Quiet socializing is encouraged in the front area of the room. Please keep socializing off the mat area, which is reserved for play and practice.
8. Partial nudity is allowed (genitals must be covered), but sexual play is not permitted.
9. If you suspend: no swinging. Do not spin unless you have a swivel. The suspension points can fail if they get twisted up too much.
10. If you have any issues, try resolve them in a civil manner. If this is not possible, speak to Cannon.

Last time was a huge success — there were over 50 people of all ages and experience levels in attendance. I’m very excited to bring back the fun, chill, and sexy vibe of this event that so many have enjoyed.

Message Cannon directly with any questions.
