BOE: Shibari Theory For The Regular “Gaijin” with AbsolutelyAtreyu, Jan. 5

Board of Education, BoEDETROIT – Some rope classes will teach you how to do a particular cuff or a harness, but not how these things prove useful in a scene. This class aims to change this approach to rope education and expose participants to the shibari style.

This class aims to teach one how to think rope and not just tie it. Those who have never taken a class on the shibari style will learn what constitutes it. Those who already have some exposure to it may see it in a whole different way.
For this class, you will simply need 2-3 25-30 ft lengths of rope (preferably natural fiber), and an open mind and ears. It will also help your learning experience if you are already familiar with a non self tightening cuff such as the Somerville Bowline. A great video tutorial on this can be found HERE.
