The BOE presents Boot Blacking 101 with Katsmeows, Sept. 30

DETROIT – This will be a basic boot blacking class. I will provide a variety of examples of leather care and boot polishing. We will discuss examples what you may find in a basic boot blacking kit. I will have several different examples of kits and leather care products for you to examine.  I will demonstrate tips and techniques on how to get a great polish or a beautiful mirror shine. Boot blacking is a skill that any sub/slave can use to increase their skill set. It can be a very useful and sexy service, not to mention can make for a hot scene. Dominants will find this information helpful if they may choose to train their current or future sub/slave in the art of boot blacking and leather care. I will answer questions such as what is a bootblack, what do they do and what is so great about it? We invest a lot of money into the leather that purchase, earn or are gifted, it is important that we learn how to care for it.
If you have a piece of leather that you have questions about, feel free to bring it to class.  I will be available after class to try to help with suggestions on care and preservation.

Lisa and her Master Will have been active in the Michigan and Ohio Kink Communities since 2009. Lisa was initially taught basic boot polishing by her Master per his Marine experience. She quickly developed a passion for boot and the other many forms of leather care.  She has been able to attend a few boot blacking classes but most of her knowledge has been from experience. She started by working with older pieces her Master had owned from the Military and thrift store finds. Friends were kind enough to trust her with their leather as she continued to practice and expand her skills. She enjoys teaching boot blacking to anyone who has a passion and desire to learn. She is a member of a bootblacking service organization called the BootBlack Divas based in Columbus OH.

Class begins at 7:30pm in The Packard Room and will run until 9:30pm. Be sure to get there by 8pm when we close the doors.
